Accessibility Statement
Marty Ortiz Confidence Coaching wants every woman who comes to this site to be able to use it, whatever she is reading it with — a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification, a phone, or an older browser. This statement describes how martyortiz.com is built for accessibility, what we know still needs work, and how to get help or tell us about a problem.
Our commitment: we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most commonly used to interpret the Americans with Disabilities Act and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act for websites.
Date of this statement: September 18, 2026
What we have done
As of the date above, the pages on this site:
- Use one main heading per page and organize content in a logical order, so screen readers can move through a page by heading
- Provide a “Skip to content” link, so keyboard users do not have to tab through the menu on every page
- Mark the page regions properly (header, navigation, main content, footer), so assistive technology can jump between them
- Give every meaningful image alternative text, and hide purely decorative images from screen readers
- Give every link and button an accessible name — including our social media icons, which are announced with words such as “Marty Ortiz on Instagram”
- Label every contact form field visibly, identify required fields, and confirm clearly when a message has been sent
- Use a hidden anti-spam field instead of a CAPTCHA, so there is no visual puzzle to solve before contacting us
- Meet AA color contrast: body text is about 14:1 against white, white text on navy is about 8.4:1, and button text is about 4.6:1
- Allow text to be enlarged: the layout reflows and remains usable at larger text sizes and browser zoom, on screens from small phone widths up to full desktop
- Declare the page language (US English) so screen readers pronounce content correctly
- Play no audio automatically; background video is muted and decorative
Known limitations
We would rather tell you what is not finished than overstate what we have:
- The “A Message From Marty” video on our About page does not yet have captions or a written transcript. We are adding a transcript. In the meantime, email us and we will send you the content of that video in writing.
- A few pages skip a heading level (for example, the resources page moves from its main heading straight to third-level headings). We are correcting those as we update each page.
- Our downloadable guide is a designed PDF. If your screen reader does not read it properly, email us and we will provide an accessible version.
- Third-party platforms are outside our control. The shop and community page at martyortizconfidencecoaching.com, and links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Google, are operated by other companies whose accessibility we cannot guarantee. If you would like to buy a masterclass or join but hit a barrier on one of those platforms, email us and we will take your order or signup directly.
Feedback and accommodation
If something on this site does not work for you, or you need information in another format, please tell us:
marty@martyortiz.com — please include the page you were on and what happened, and mention the device or software you were using if you know it.
We aim to reply within three business days, and we will work with you to get you what you need — whether that is a document in a different format, help completing a form, or a phone call instead of a web form.
How we keep this current
We check accessibility when we make significant changes to the site, and we review this statement at least once a year. This statement was last updated on September 18, 2026.
